Tony Jones calls out lack of action to remove graffiti on major freeway

Tony Jones is bemused that graffiti affecting a major freeway in Melbourne hasn’t been removed, wondering why no action has been taken.

The graffiti on the Eastern Freeway has been impacting motorists since December and the 3AW Mornings host doesn’t understand why nothing has been done to clean it.

“We’ve had no response at all (after flagging the problem),” he said on 3AW.

“And as it stands (on Friday morning), the graffiti is still there. It’s not good enough.

“It’s an eyesore and a hindrance.”

The Department of Transport later told 3AW that the sign would be cleaned later on Friday afternoon.
