Tom Elliott’s strong idea if the Allan government continues spending on the SRL
Tom Elliott’s prediction on the Suburban Rail Loop receiving no additional federal funding in the budget came to fruition last night, with Treasurer Jim Chalmers admitting they didn’t budget for the extra funding.
And it led the 3AW Mornings host to deliver a strong idea pointed at Jacinta Allan, Ben Carroll and any other ministers in the state government if they continue spending on the project.
“This in my view borders on criminality if the state government does it,” he said.

“The federal government has washed its hands of the Suburban Rail Loop project here in Victoria,” he said.
“It is absolutely obvious that the project doesn’t have the money.”
