Tom Elliott’s message to corporate Australia in the wake of Voice referendum
Tom Elliott says the role of corporate Australia in campaigning for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament “needs to be seriously looked at”.
“A number of big companies— like BHP, Rio, Wesfarmers, Telstra, the big four banks plus other groups like the AFL … came out strongly in support of the Voice,” the 3AW Drive host said.
“They gave millions of dollars of shareholders money to pursue this whole voice campaign and to what end? Has that been good for shareholders? No. Has anything been achieved? No.”
