Tom Elliott takes issue with Daniel Andrews’ letter to Malcolm Turnbull

3AW Drive host Tom Elliott has taken issue with Daniel Andrews’ letter to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

In a message he usually saves for local councils, Tom Elliott took aim at the Victorian Premier for taking on an issue ‘above his station.’

Mr Andrews sent a letter to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull at the weekend, in which he said Victoria stood ‘ready to assist’ refugees being sent back to Nauru.

Tom Elliott said the premier had other things to worry about.

‘Mr Andrews ? foreign policy is not your job,’ the 3AW Drive host said on Monday.

‘Get the policing right, get the hospitals right, get the education system right.

‘Don’t start getting involved with immigration issues, because it simply is not the province of the Victorian Government.’
