Tom Elliott slams Merri-bek councillor’s response to anti-semitism concerns

Tom Elliott has lashed a Merri-bek councillor’s inflammatory comments following anti-semitic concerns from one resident.

The Brunswick East mother expressed her concerns to councillor James Conlan, who said he was “losing patience” with anyone who didn’t understand the pro-Palestine protests.

In statement released to 3AW Mornings, Cr Conlan doubled down on his previous comments, calling zionism a “racist, evil ideology”.
