Tom Elliott slams Federal Energy Minister’s ‘idiotic’ idea to reduce power bills

Tom Elliott has slammed Federal Energy Minister Chris Bowen’s comments when he suggested people should put solar panels on the roof of their home to reduce power bills.

Elliott didn’t agree at all with Bowen’s take, labelling it as an “idiotic response”.

He believes the Labor government made a “silly promise” that power prices would fall and instead the reverse has occurred, with electricity “drastically” more expensive and families doing it tough.
