Tom Elliott says the case just got stronger for nuclear power in Australia
Tom Elliott says he can’t understand why government remains opposed to using nuclear power in Australia, particularly following the announcement the country would be switching from conventional submarines to nuclear-powered ones.
Scott Morrison said the news did not open to the door for a nuclear power plant to be built in Australia.
“Why not?” Tom Elliott asked on Thursday.
“If it’s OK to have eight reactors on submarines cruising around the Australian coast, why not have a reactor that creates carbon emission free electricity?”
