Tom Elliott reveals interesting tip off from ‘prominent football identity’

Tom Elliott was alerted to a change in how the AFL Draft is presented after being called by a “prominent football identity” on Thursday.

This year’s draft concluded on Thursday night, having being held over two days as the best young talent in the competition realise their childhood dreams.

Tom says the gesture is “tokenistic” and may actually be doing more harm than good.

“A prominent football identity who you would’ve heard of rang me yesterday,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“It’s tokenistic, it really is.”
