Tom Elliott has reacted to the “bombshell” report to rock the AFL world, which has blindsided the AFL Players Association.

The league reportedly sent a target list of 51 athletes to be tested by Sports Integrity Australia investigators during last season, and the 3AW Mornings host thinks this is a “good thing”.

“The AFL for years has had this very weird policy towards drug use,” he said.

Commercial sports lawyer at Dentons, Tim Fuller, who represented swimmer Shayna Jack during her doping saga, said he’s surprised by the list, but not surprised by the league’s focus.

“There must be a reason behind it, so that’s a concerning issue,” Mr Fuller told Tom Elliott.
