Tom Elliott says there isn’t much Australia can do about Russia’s decision to invade Ukraine.

The Russian president ordered a “special military operation” in Ukraine’s Donbas region on Thursday afternoon, (AEDT).

The 3AW Drive host said there was little Australia could do in response.

“The Americans aren’t going to do anything, therefore we can’t do anything,” he said.

“A lot of it goes back to America’s decision to pull out of Afghanistan.

“That showed to the world America had no more stomach for a fight.”
