Tom Elliott is frustrated with the push for gambling advertising to be banned

Jeff Kennett and a group of other prominent Australian figures such as John Howard signed a letter to urge the government to ban gambling advertisements.

However, Tom Elliott is frustrated with the debate in relation to gambling advertising, and believes it comes down to self control and individual responsibility.

“I just don’t see why a legitimate industry should not be allowed to advertise what it does because some people can’t control themselves,” Elliott said on 3AW Mornings.

“There’s so many things we all spend money on that we probably shouldn’t, drinking and fast food.”
