Tom Elliott has some words of advice for Matthew Guy

Tom Elliott says Matthew Guy needs to lift his public profile if he wants to be any hope of beating Daniel Andrews at the next Victorian election.

It comes after a new poll, conducted for The Age, found support for the state Labor government had lifted to near its highest level since the last election, despite surging COVID-19 case numbers in Victoria.

But Tom Elliott isn’t convinced its entirely a show of support for the Premier.

“I must say, I think this says more about Matthew Guy than Dan Andrews,” the 3AW Drive host said.

“I can’t think of anything over the last couple of months, admittedly I’ve had a summer holiday, but I can’t think of anything Matthew Guy has said.

“I don’t know if he’s been in the media, or on the television.

“If you want to take it up to Daniel Andrews, if you want to have a chance of turning these polls around, then you’ve got to get your face out there.”
