Tom Elliott has called for the removal of some speed humps in Melbourne’s suburbs.

It comes after Roads Minister Ben Carroll pledged to fix many of the potholes around Victoria.

Car expert James Ward from drive.com.au said the problem with the speed humps is that “they’re not uniform”.

“The speed humps you hit in one street in the suburb to the next street in the suburb can be completly different.

“So if you’re used to what you feel is an appropriate speed, and then go and hit one, some of them can be really, really harsh and sharp.”
