Tom Elliott blasts ‘utter madness’ Commonwealth Games proposal
Tom Elliott has blasted the “utter madness” idea to stage the 2026 Commonwealth Games in both Perth and Gold Coast.
Under the plan backed by Gina Rinehart, the event would be hosted on both the west and east coast of the country, with sports split across the two cities.
Tom isn’t a fan of the proposal, saying it may be time to acknowledge the Commonwealth Games don’t have a future after Victoria’s withdrawal as host in July.

“It is such a dumb idea. We need to accept that the era of the Commonwealth Games is over.”
