Tom Elliott ‘appalled’ by firebomb attack of Melbourne synagogue

Fire Rescue Victoria were called to a fire at the Adass Israel Synagogue in Ripponlea at 4:18am.

The Melbourne synagogue has sustained significant damage and was started by two masked men who poured petrol over the front of the synagogue.

3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott has labelled the culprits of the attack as “racists” and “terrorists”.

“This is appalling, this is the sort of thing that happened in Germany in the late 1930’s,” Elliott said on 3AW Mornings.

“This is a stain, it’s a cancer on our society and it’s unacceptable.”

 

Board Member of the Adass Israel Synagogue Binyomin Klein joined 3AW Mornings to react to the shocking firebombing of the Ripponlea synagogue.
