“Tiresome” Today Show falls under 200,000 metro viewers

The Today Show has fallen below 200,000 viewers as its audience continues to decline since the installment of co-host Georgie Gardner.

Nine’s breakfast program Today managed just 199,000 metro viewers on Tuesday, according to OzTAM’s preliminary overnight metro ratings.

T the Today Show saw 320,000 viewers tune in across the nation while Seven’s rival breakfast program Sunrise averaged 268,000 metro viewers and 445,000 nationally.

“They have to accept there’s a problem,” Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Ross and John.

“I don’t know if Karl Stefanovic is the only problem on the show, I think he’s one of them.

“It’s sort of rotting away and no one seems to be doing anything about it.

“There’s a disconnection there with their content, it’s tiresome, it’s predictable.”
