Tim Paine under injury cloud

Australian wicketkeeper Tim Paine has been hit on the same finger that’s tormented him over the years.

The blow forced the 32-year-old to seek treatment during the first drinks break during Day 2 at Adelaide Oval.

Paine only returned to the test team in Brisbane last week after an extended period out through injury.

The earlier injury has required seven operations and three bone grafts, while the Tasmanian also had to change his grip as a result.

He continued to bat on despite the blow.
