Hundreds of Victorians were left struggling to breathe after a thunderstorm asthma event unfolded in parts of Melbourne and Victoria.

Chief executive officer of Asthma Australia, Michele Goldman, says Victorians ended up in hospital with breathing and asthma issues.

“Due to high levels of pollen and mixed with thunderstorm asthma warnings,” she told 3AW Breakfast.
