Three Victorian regions claim spots in leading travel site’s ‘Town of the Year’ awards
Three Victorian regions have claimed top 10 spots in leading travel site Wotif.com’s “Aussie Town of the Year” awards.
The Yarra Valley (fourth), Bright (sixth) and Halls Gap (eighth) all ranked in the top 10.
Launceston took out top spot on the list.
Simon O’Callaghan, CEO of Yarra Ranges Tourism, told Neil Mitchell it could only have a positive impact on tourism in the region.
“People like coming to visit places recommended by others,” he said.
