Three men arrested over shocking child exploitation charges in Geelong
Three men have been arrested in Geelong over a suspected child exploitation ring.
The arrests, which were executed early yesterday, were the culmination of a two-month investigation called Operation Epicycle.
All three men — aged 59, 52 and 45 — have been remanded in custody on serious charges over their alleged exploitation of vulnerable youth.
They are all accused of supply drugs to children.
The 59-year-old, from Geelong, is accused of committing indecent acts with children under 16 and well as unlawful imprisonment, among other charges.
The 52-year-old, from Herne Hill, was also charged unlawful imprisonment, two counts of recruiting a child to engage in criminal activity and two counts of possessing drug of dependence.
Both men have been remanded to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on October 5.
The 45-year-old, from Winchelsea, was charged with three counts of trafficking a drug of dependence to a child, supplying a drug of dependence to a child, and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
He has been remanded to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on August 22.
