Thousands of CFA volunteers to defy orders and target Labor on election day
CFA volunteers are vowing to blitz marginal seats on election day as they target Labor’s federal campaign.
Around 10,000 firefighters will blitz polling booths in full uniform and with their trucks, in defiance of a command order.
They’re furious at Daniel Andrews’ deal with the firefighters union and have vowed to make it a federal issue.
And in what could cause significant tensions, the UFU will also be out in force at polling booths handing out how-to-vote cards urging people put the Liberal Party last.
