‘This is madness’: The new change-room signs which Tom Elliott has taken exception to

Tom Elliott has taken exception to new ‘trans and gender diverse’ signs outside of the male and female change-rooms at the Oakleigh Recreation Centre.

The 3AW Mornings host was alerted to the new signs by a 14-year-old boy, which led him to state “this is madness”.

“There are very good reasons why we have separate male and female change-rooms, men and women, boys and girls are different from each other!” he said.

Fourteen-year-old Sam, who alerted Tom Elliott to the signs, has been left saddened by what has occurred at the recreation centre.

“It just makes me sad that girls my age have to struggle with this, that they now have to worry about getting changed in front of literal men, they are men,” Sam told Tom Elliott.
