‘This is hypocrisy’: Sly on the state government’s refusal to keep Paul Denyer in jail for life

The state government has refused to pass legislation to keep serial killer Paul Denyer behind bars for life, with Sly of the Underworld labelling the refusal “hypocritical”.

The veteran crime writer alluded to the news of Hoddle Street killer Julian Knight penning a letter to Premier Daniel Andrews to pass the same law which will keep himself behind bars for life, to be applied to Denyer as well.

Sly said the state government has shown “no signs” of passing any legislation on the matter.
