Things to consider before purchasing gift cards for Christmas

There’s many things to consider before you buy gift cards as presents this Christmas.

Gerard Brody, CEO of the Consumer Action Law Centre spoke with Justin and Kate and says,’The first thing to think of is that the gift cards are probably more profitable to the retailers than they are to consumers.’

‘Too many of us forget to use them before the expiry date!’ He tells 3AW Breakfast there are no laws protecting you regarding card expiry dates, so always check how long the gift card is valid for.
