Thieves broke into a home through dog door while couple slept at Caulfield South
Brazen thieves have made their way through the doggy door of a Melbourne home while a couple slept inside.
It’s believed burglars jumped a fence and crawled through the doggy door at Caulfield South.
The victims’ daughter Hayley has told 3AW’s Tony Jones her parents don’t even own dogs.
They helped themselves to cash from a purse next to the couple’s bed while Hayley’s parents were fast asleep.
‘It’s locked, it was always locked. Inside and out,’ says Hayley.
She tells 3AW Mornings, ‘Somehow someone’s watching and taken a chance that this house has a doggy door.’
