Thief fail: Brighton burglar’s bizarre floor-creep caught on CCTV

Footage has emerged of a burglar’s bizarre attempt to avoid CCTV cameras at a Brighton home.

The man can be seen breaking in through the back door of the North Road home on January 16 before sliding along the floor on his stomach.

He attempted to remove two heavy safes but fled after being disturbed by a neighbour.

The crawling didn’t work, with cameras pointing clearly at the floor, and the burglar looking straight at them.
