‘They’ve shown grit’: Matthew Richardson declares his premiership favourite

Richmond legend Matthew Richardson thinks Hawthorn is the team leading the way after just four games into their 2025 campaign.

Richardson thinks the grit and determination the Hawks have shown will hold them in good stead for September.

“They’ve actually been challenged in all of their games this year,” Richardson said on 3AW Football.

“They’ve actually had to change the way they played and really grind out games.

“Four games in are they premiership favourites? Probably I think they are.”
