‘They’ve done a hell of a lot better’: Pakistan resistance in Boxing Day Test praised
Pakistan has been praised for their added resilience despite losing the Boxing Day Test.
After Australia won the first Test in Perth by a whopping 360 runs, hopes weren’t high that the tourists would provide a contest for the remainder for the series.
But with Pakistan taking the MCG Test deep into a fourth day, 3AW sports commentator Bruce Eva said he was impressed by their resistance even if Australia still landed up winning by 79 runs.

“They’ve done a hell of a lot better compared to the capitulation in the second innings in Perth,” he told Matt Granland on Wide World of Sports.
“They have batted well, they’ve had a number of starts but no one has gone on with it.”
