Melbourne’s eyesore bollards have been replaced
Melbourne’s ugly temporary bollard blocks have started being replaced in the CBD.
Planter boxes (pictured above) and metal poles have been installed in the Bourke St mall this morning.
Concrete blocks and other temporary barriers have been a common site around the city this year in response to the increased threat of vehicle-related attacks, and 10 months after the Bourke St attack.
Police Minister Lisa Neville says the new bollards should be installed by early December.
