There are already issues with the Victorian government’s free flu jab program
Victorian chemists and GPs say they’ve been put under the pump and caught out by the state government’s free flu jab program.
They say they’re already struggling from supply shortages.
Dr Joe Garra, from MyClinic at Werribee, told Tom Elliott he got an email late on Monday warning them about the announcement.
He said his clinic was informed they’d need to buy the supply and be reimbursed for it later.
But that’s easier said than done, given they had less than 48 hours notice.
“We don’t know when we’ll get it,” Dr Garra explained.
