The warning the federal government has given dating apps
The federal government has warned dating apps to clean up their act and implement a voluntary code of practice or face regulation.
Professor and Australia Research Council head of digital and data literacies for sexual health policy and practice research project, Dr Kath Albury, says each dating service should come up with their own code of practice.
“Every app works slightly different and it serves a slightly different market … That’s probably not something that should be imposed from the top down in the first instance,” she told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Tom Elliott.
