The staggering number of workplaces who say they’ve been forced to sack unvaccinated employees
One-in-three Australian workplaces say they’ve been forced to sack unvaccinated workers, according to a new survey.
But the same study found mandatory vaccination in the workplace has the support of the overwhelming majority.
Sarah McCann-Bartlett, CEO and Managing Director of the Australian HR Institute, clarified that figure was based on workplaces who required a vaccine mandate, not all workplaces.
“But it is a high number,” she conceded.
Ms McCann-Bartlett said 85 per cent of employees responded positively to mandatory vaccination.
She said that figure was 93 per cent in Victoria.
