The staggering number of Australians who’ve recently changed jobs
One-in-10 workers changed jobs during the year to February, new data reveals.
It’s the highest number of job changes in a decade, as Australians took advantage of the tight labour market to take on new roles.
Senior economist and partner at KPMG, Dr Sarah Hunter, says it’s a sign of the times.
“The economy is doing really very well at the moment,” she told 3AW’s Ross and Russel.
“Lots of people have been able to get a job.
“It’s just really a sign they were able to find a better job for them — higher pay, a better fit, or what have you.”
