The staggering number of Australians who plan on ditching their health insurance
Almost three million Australians are expected to ditch their health insurance this year.
Rising costs are said to be the driving factor.
Research from Finder found one-in-seven Australians did not plan on renewing their private health insurance this year.
Tim Bennett from Finder told Tom Elliott it showed cost was a “big issue” for many.
“As soon as you get rid of, you risk that next day being the day you need it,” he said.
“It’s a big decision.”
