The Smith Family calls on governments to help make education cheaper
The Smith Family says education needs to be made more affordable to help break the poverty cycle.
Parents on average are facing fees of over $100,000 in a 13-year period to send each child to a public school, which is the highest in the state.
The Smith Family Victorian General Manager Anton Leschen says cheaper education would have far-reaching benefits beyond simply easing the financial burden on parents.

“We want every Australian child to be able to participate in their education,” he said on 3AW Mornings.
“Federally and state-wide, governments wrestle with what to do. We see that education breaks the poverty cycle.”
