A neuroscientist has spoken on the phenomena of “baby brain” looking at how women’s brains can change during pregnancy and after birth.

Studies have shown between 50 to 80 per cent of women complain of forgetfulness during pregnancy, but neuroscientist Dr Sarah McKay has claimed the science is showing more positive signs for women’s brains during and after pregnancy.

Dr McKay has released a book called Baby Brain and explained the neurological transition in women’s brains to Neil Mitchell this morning.
