In one of the largest studies of its kind, researchers have found people who get more light during the day and less light at night are less likely to experience mental health issues.

Associate Professor Sean Cain, from the Monash School of Psychological Sciences and the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health, says big studies like these show people that light exposure is “important”.

“We could all live happier, healthier, even longer lives, if we just had better light exposure,” Professor Cain told Ross and Russel.
