Australians are being encouraged to buy chickens whole to help ease pressure on the food production supply chain due to COVID-19 and subsequent isolation requirements.

Dr Vivien Kite, Australian Chicken Meat Federation Executive Director, told 3AW Breakfast the easiest products to produce would be the most available in the coming weeks.

“We can’t get the full range and full volume of products out there to stores that people want,” she said.
