The reason we get anxious about turning 30
New research shows one in three of us experience psychological distress around the age of 30.
And much of the anxiety is experienced by men.
David Mallard from the Melbourne Men’s Group told Tony Jones it’s because, culturally, men aren’t enabled to talk about their issues.
‘A lot of people’s experience is that they go through life, have these transitions, and questions get raised,’ Mr Mallard said.
‘For men in particular, because we don’t really talk to each other in real terms and authentically, it often goes unsaid.
‘You find many men are isolated.’
