The push to make electric vehicles cheaper in Australia

CEO of the Electric Vehicle Council, Behyad Jafari, has spoken on the ways in which electric vehicles could become cheaper for drivers in Australia.

Mr Jafari said the council had met with the federal government to introduce fuel efficiency standards, a set of regulations which are in most developed countries except Australia and Russia, which would help the cause to reduce prices.

“Australia not having them is sort of like turning up to a country that hasn’t built roads,” Mr Jafari told Neil Mitchell.
