The ‘problematic’ injury concern developing at The Alfred

The Alfred Hospital Burns Unit has noticed a “problematic” concern in burn injuries from vapes and hot water bottles in recent times.

Burns Surgeon at The Alfred Hospital, Dr Dane Holden, told Neil Mitchell the amount of injuries from exploding vapes and hot water bottles is definitely “going up over time”.

Dr Holden wants to increase the awareness of this problem, so people know the risks when purchasing vapes and hot water bottles.
