Changes to non-government school payroll tax will now impact schools charging $15,000 for students each year after massive backlash.

Chief executive of Independent Schools Victoria, Michelle Green, says she’ll keep pushing to stop the tax all together which she says will be passed onto parents.

“It’s not a whole lot of money … for the state government, I know they’re keen to get every cent they can … I think it’s time people realised that mums and dads paying school fees are not the enemies and they don’t appreciate being milked by the state government for extra funds,” she told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
