The OpenAI tool deemed too risky to be released to the public
An OpenAI tool won’t be released to the public after it was deemed too risky due to it’s ability to mimic human voices.
Researcher in artificial intelligence at the University of New South Wales, professor Toby Walsh, says the scary part of the tool is how quickly it can pick up a voice.
“What they’ve [OpenAi] done is, they’ve trained a neural network of thousands, and thousands of hours of speech, so it knows how to speak,” he told 3AW Breakfast.
