Changes to the age when population screening for bowel cancers could soon with Bowel Cancer Australia recommending Australians aged between 45-74 to test every two years.

Chief executive officer, Julien Wiggins, says bowel cancer is the biggest killer for people aged between 25 and 45.

“The medical guidelines were updated … and the reason for that is the rise in people getting bowel cancer under the age of 50,” he told Neil Mitchell.
