Glenn Maxwell is the toast of the cricketing world after producing one of the greatest One Day International innings of all time.

The 35-year-old smashed a stunning 201 not out off 128 balls to rescue Australia in their ICC Cricket World Cup match against Afghanistan overnight.

But was it the best ODI innings ever produced?

“It is certainly the most stunning ODI innings I can remember,” The Age sports reporter Pete Ryan told Wide World of Sports.

“We all woke up (on Wednesday morning), looked at the score and thought ‘oh my god (Maxwell’s) made a double hundred’.”
