The main concern a gambling researcher has with new poker machine reforms
Experts have welcomed sweeping new reforms to gambling on poker machines.
Venues will need to close for at least six hours a day, and there will be a spending limit of a hundred dollars, with spin speeds slowing and patrons needing to carry ID.
Gambling Researcher at Monash University’s school of public health, Associate Professor Charles Livingstone, believes the reforms will be “very effective” but does have one main concern with the rollout.
