There’s been a law change for secondary property owners ahead of local council elections later in the year which has been brought to Jacqui Felgate’s attention.

The 3AW Drive host said a friend of the program had recently received a letter from the Mornington Peninsula Council stating they needed to re-enrol to vote in the upcoming council election due to a law change.

Felgate said the letter is a “little confusing” and spoke to Electoral Commissioner at the VEC Sven Bluemmel to clarify the confusion.
