An infectious diseases physician says there are “huge problems” with a Brazilian study claiming vegetarians and vegans are 39 per cent less likely to contract COVID-19.

Professor at ANU Medical School, Peter Collignon, says there are a slew of variables which “make any interpretation of the data difficult”.

“I don’t think this study is at all convincing,” he told Tony Jones, filling in on 3AW Mornings.
