The historical event research says students don’t care about
Research by Western Sydney University has found the majority of high-school students don’t connect to historical events such as Federation and the Anzacs.
History teacher of 20 years, Esther Level, says students are generally disengaged.
“I find their minds are elsewhere and unless its in the realm of their world of social media … it’s not this natural connection that perhaps – obediently – we had in the past,” she told Tom Elliott, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
