The Greens’ push for more access to North Richmond injecting room

The Greens have made a push for more access to the injecting room in North Richmond, including pregnant women and children under the age of 18.

These people are currently not allowed in the injecting centre, but Greens MP for Brunswick Dr Tim Read believes they “have the same right to be resuscitated as anyone else”.

“What we’re advocating for is that they are not turned away, we’re not advocating for anyone to inject heroin,” Dr Read told Neil Mitchell.
